At the Patoka brick factory (based in Southern Poland) bricks are still being fired in a 120 year old coal-fired Hofman ring kiln. This factory makes the most nostalgic, unique bricks within the CRH Bricks-assortment. The bricks are carried in and out of the kiln by hand and sorted, by means of which the final colour mixture is determined.
