Moulded brick for the blind
In designing public works ever more account is being taken of (semi-)invalid road users. The use of a guide brick for the blind is a well-known example.

New is a ceramic moulded brick for the blind. It is manufactured by the AKA factory based in Oberlausitz. There they have developed a special technique for fitting the tops of bricks in all standard formats and colours with 8 studs. The result is a guide brick for the blind which also serves an aesthetic function because it harmonises exactly with the rest of the paving. Another advantage is the long life cycle of paving bricks, which become more beautiful as they get older.
