The collaboration between CRH BRICKS and the royal brickmaker
Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum has resulted in the production of an
extensive collection of glazed facing bricks. These are made on the
basis of the finest quality extruded facing bricks and soft mud facing
bricks produced by the Joosten Kessel clay product factory. The glazed
bricks are supplied in a standard Waal brick format; however, other
sizes and formats are also available on request.
The total glazed collection comprises 46 different colours and three series: Peter Struycken, Standard and Metallic Glazed. Tailored solutions are also a possibility, since Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum is able to develop a glaze on the basis of any required colour. The glazed brick is extremely well suited to the uses of colour in the architectural world due to its durability, frost resistance and insensitivity to UV rays.
The Peter Struycken collection
Commissioned by the Koninklijke Tichelaar Makkum, the well-known Dutch artist Peter Struycken has developed a collection of 38 colours specially designed for architectural purposes. Modern yet timeless, these colours complement each other perfectly and also combine extremely well with CRH BRICKS' facing bricks.
The total glazed collection comprises 46 different colours and three series: Peter Struycken, Standard and Metallic Glazed.
